Kim Lockman enjoys painting the American West, both past and present. However, she's also been a life long Star Trek fan and her art takes an occasional side trip into science fiction themes. Her painting "Cowboys" is a crossover between the two and was Kim's personal tribute to Star Trek's 50th anniversary in 2016. Interestingly, Gene Rodden-berry had originally wanted Star Trek to be called "Wagon Train to the Stars."
